What TV show would it be.......

If you had to be trapped in a tv show for a month, what show would you choose……….would it be a soap drama…..a sitcom……period drama…crime,
medical……sci-fi…..documentaries ….which characters from your chosen show would you love to be………I would have loved to have joined Karl Pillkington in the series “An idiot abroad “……..

    1. Hi Lani, yes Michael Parkinson was one of the best chat show hosts, quiet and unassuming, he let the guests answer his questions and didn’t try to steal the limelight for himself……..xx

  1. I would like to sneak into “Midsomer Murders” just to see the wonderful old English houses and absorb the glorious countryside. That would be about the only time I would get to see England.

    1. But foreveryoung, you do know murders are committed there on a weekly basis don’t you…….now you need to ask yourself, is a glimpse of the English countryside worth the risk of your maybe imminent demise….hehe xx

  2. Starlette this is a good blog idea. I am not a huge fan but I do watch Downton Abbey and I could be the grandmother for a while and recently she just got a handsome man interested in her. We need some better television. Most all the characters are flawed and they suffer, that’s why we like them. I loved “Last Tango in Halifax” but I wouldn’t want to be any of them. I don’t watch much television.

  3. Please trap me in Absolutely Fabulous 😀 😀 😀
I relate myself to Eddy, but the character would like to be would be Bubbles, because lives in her own world within the chaos.
    Best of all worlds. 😉

    1. I’m with PollyPie…………….When I had a television, I loved that show. I could be the male version of Patsy, or maybe Bubbles, or maybe even do either of them in drag.
That show was such fun to watch.

  4. Good choice PollyPie…….think it wasn’t only Bubbles that lived in her own world……..Patsy and Eddy were pretty spaced out too……..in a world of their own more often than not…..bring back the sixties that’s what i say….YAY….xx

  5. Well Star another very good blog of yours I’ve to admit. Now you know me quite well by all my answers, what typ of person could I play? Please don’t mention Mr. Nero in Ben Hur, no no chance for it. As the partner of Audrey Hepburn in Moonriver, a nice imagination to me.

So I’m keen and looking forward receiving your answer xxxM

  6. Well Michael, you throw my question back to me…… i will have to give this some thought……..i know it will have to be someone handsome, witty, attentive and debonair…….someone with a thirst for knowledge and enjoys hearing about other cultures….with a love of the arts, especially the Art Deco period, which i also love…….so you have set me quite a task…….i think i will have to write a show just for you to star in Michael……lol…..will be the easiest option for me i think…….xxx

    1. What an elegant answer of yours. I didn’t expect anything else from you and I don’t know anyone who could have done it better.

If by any chance the name Thomas Crown is familiar to you alright, instead of Steve McQueen I would like have played this film part very much.

I could never compare with Steve but a nice face like this of Faye would have helped a lot.xxxM

  7. Great blog star! :D. My dream ( here we again!) is to go back in time to the period drama’s. All those dresses and hats on either class( Think Downton Abbey!) It would have me in heaven. I know there was a lot of poverty in those days, so wont be seeing that in my soap dream..is that allowed star? I would like a laugh somewhere along the road so i would pick what PollyPie liked, Absolutely Fabulous :D. great laughs with those two 🙂 I dont like many tv program’s that are on today ( psss! whispering this only to you star? Eastenders shhhhh) so there are my dreams…Period Drama’s and Absolutely Fabulous :D. xxx

  8. Hi Shads………well as you know laughs are always good in my book……..now I am hoping you would have lived upstairs in Downton Abbey to get to wear all those elegant dresses and be adorned in the exquisite jewellery, servants to assist you in dressing and bathing (women of course )……oh well the odd manservant wouldn’t go amiss I suppose….hehe…….I would give downstairs a miss, just inhabited by scrubbers……..ya don’t want to be mixing with the riff raff now do you……lol xx

  9. Oh no Star I get the feeling you are hiding your light under a bushel.

Let the two of us reside at the top floor Downton Abbey. I think you deserve it but with me, I’m not sure! xxxM

  10. Michael I have booked the accommodation on the upper floor……..we shall take up residence there at the first opportunity and live out our dreams…….now I cannot say fairer than that…….xxx
