Hail to my Commander and Cheif
Anti Obama sentiment has grown to obscene dimensions. 1) he is not a Muslim, Even if he was it is not grounds for slander. Our BILL OF RIGHTS includes the right to worship anything at any time. 2) he is not black, his mother was white. As if this matters at all. 3) He is a qualified Constitutional Law Professor. Why do I blog this? Because USA news is broadcasting incidents where as our President, Barack Obama is not afforded the respect of his station. Recently the Governor of Arizona met him on the tarmac and stuck her finger in his face. And a soldier said he would not follow the commands of his Commander and Chief because as a teabagger and felt Obama was not entitled to the respect of his political beliefs. Since when does a single soldier in the Army of the USA determine against the orders of the Commander in Chief? Never in the history of the USA has anyone, whether politically in opposition have the right to deny his commands. My father during WWII never questioned his officers. What is wrong with the chain of command? When a single uneducated soldier goes against Higher Command. That in a nutshell is treason. Now I realize that this site is primarily UK and Australian but as an American I adhere to the process of Military Officialism. Those who want Obama out will stoop to the lowest form of of untrue propaganda. We did not elect Obama because he was black. We elected him because he is qualified. To all you Military men out there would you defy the orders of above command?

Thank You for wording my beliefs so eloquently…These same people that are pointing fingers are silent when you mention the 8 years of that dam Bush that has compromised our great country. Those pointing fingers are silent when confronted with the great strides and accomplishments our President has made in so little time and with so much opposition.Those pointing fingers are silent when when you mention the idiocy of the Rep nominees. Those pointing fingers need to look in a mirror and figure out that the toothless racist looking back at them is NOT in charge and TG will never be. Please forgive me for giving the wrong impression. I was by no means insulting the other nations on this site. Our past differences are forgotten by me. I was just giving voice and admiration to my President.
I have to say that we try very hard to keep this site non-controversial. We avoid politics and religion in the chats and I think it would be an excellent idea to keep one’s politics out of the blogs and other portions of the site. Anyone has every right to have an opinion, however, foisting it on others is not an especially kind thing to do. It asks for an argument. I feel fairly sure that most of our members would not support arguing and disruption in the blogs or anywhere else.
Please lets not have hurt feelings and annoyance with each other over such essentially impossible matters. There are hundreds of blog sites created specially for political rants, please, again, let’s not have them here. Those sites are filled with folks who live to give feedback on this kind of thing. Perhaps a much better discussion could be had there for those interested.

All i can say is that I agree 100% with tessa, this site is not the place to discuss politics and on top of that I would say it is not the site to discuss religion or sex as well. Lets keep it friendly.
Good for you the leader of any country is a person to be respected by it’s citizens regardless of race color or creed. The people of the country chose them believing they would be a great leader for their country. All citizens should respect their leaders. Good for you for standing up for a very courageous leader.

i can’t see where leaf’s blog foists upon us anything..if you don’t like it don’t read it..and it wasn’t said that this site is FOR brits and aussies but “this site is primarily UK and Australian ” ,,in other words there are,according to leaf,more brits and aussies on here..whether or not there is i don’t know…and i would rather see a political blog here than have it in the chat room cause it’s easier to ignore it on here..i’m an american,too ..and i beleive in the freedom of speech..yes,i know we have to draw the line somewhere or it could get really ugly in here..but i don’t see anything wrong in leafs blog

Everyone is entitled to their opinion kat. I do know that certain subjects divide SC and a number of people know the history, do we really want to go down that route again?

A comment was written regarding Obama,whereby leafofgold took exception to the joke.
It is one thing taking exception, though goodness knows , there are thousands of these things about.
It is completely another, writing the comments which were put on the last couple of lines.
THAT is what provoked a response from myself and why Leaf, you then consider there were personal attacks on yourself.
1. They were not personal attacks.
2. Read your last lines again.
Please then, don’t come over as all sweetness and light,wondering why this all happens to you as if everyone else is the bad guy.
You went off this site before.
For the sake of everybody else that has to read this (or not), lets draw a line under it.
