Somewhat isolated in the west O'Ireland, I have tried many 'free' chat room sites ...and have been appalled at the level of childish perversion that is on the Web(!).

Within only a few hours I realisied this senior Chatters was VERY different ... recipies, shout board( or what ever it's callled), chat rooms, plural(!), messages and still more I have not yet explored.

All topped off with a good cross section of society within the site.

Congratulations Rob! I look forward to many addictive hours during the lock-down of the long, dark, winter!!!

"Instantly Felt I Was Safe"

Hi Rob, I must say when I first stumbled on this website I thought gee this is pretty good. Then I finally went into chat and almost instantly felt I was safe.

Faye was super and still is. So many others made me feel so welcome, not like any other chat experience I've had before. All I ever wanted was to find friends from everywhere and anywhere and I thought that could not be done.

I like the fact that people here are honest enough to say what they are looking to find here. I like the fact that private information has restrictions. That showed me what a caring person you must be . Even though I wasn't crazy in the beginning to join because I would have to pay, but it was my husband who said.

"Pay for it - You are enjoying it - it's worth the money".

He was so right, no free chat room has ever been like this and never did I feel I wanted to find out how everyone was.

You've done a good job Rob you should be proud of yourself.

This room Rob has put together is far from that. I find it well run and the people in it are great.

Those that are here are from all over this globe, and they all are here for one thing, to be kind to one another and have a great time chatting.

I have had a great time and enjoy the chat and people here very much, so much so that i spend way more time in it than i plan to each and every time. I thank our host Rob very much.

I can say it was kind of a life saver for me, I was really in a deep depression at the time that I found this site. It did become like a therapy session for me, So many caring people that would listen and help anyway they could.

To this day I will be eternally grateful, to Rob for making it possible to be a part of a wonderful caring community and to all the great and caring people that have become good friends in my book, there are a select few and you know who you are, that have been a part of my daily life now and hopefully always will be!

This site is the best as far as being able to chat and get to know people, with very little judgement placed on anyone. Rob also listens and helps in anyway he can to make the experience a pleasant and user friendly place..

As it happens, at this point in time, my own use of the site is pretty much just about the chatroom....nattering away with chums in the wee small hours (UK time) just for a little sociability before hitting the hay.

Touch wood, and thank God or whatever Higher Powers, I'm not smitten with any especial upset or unhappiness in life right now, but you never know what's round the corner do you?

Complacency is ill-advised for the over-50s I think. I have aged parents for example, and it's only a matter of time really.... when that sad moment comes I imagine I too will be grateful for a place to go where I can talk/listen with others who will lend an accepting and understanding ear, and my obvious choice would be LOF....

I have no personal experience of any other sites, but relying on the comments of others whose judgment I respect I believe you have a winner here Rob.

Still, my heart wants you to know that what you've accomplished here is AMAZING! This is the first chat where I can really feel like the world is within my grasp! People from all over the world are on here and it is SUPER to be able to talk to them.

If I am having a tough day, which happens to all of us, I know that I can come to your site and relax. Many of the folks I have met on chat are quickly becoming FAMILY! It's refreshing to be welcomed so warmly. There is so much openness and fun in the room!

Generally, I know you won't believe it but it's true, I am a very QUIET person. YES I AM!!! Except in the chat room with all my new friends! I don't feel so alone anymore. It's a blessing to my spirit. Thanks for letting me be a part of it all!

I came to Senior Chatters about a year ago. It was known by a different name then and was the first chat room I had ever been in to. I was made to feel welcome right from the start and began to make some really good friends.

Most of those same friends are still here. With a new name came a completely new look with many other worthwhile activities included but the friendliness, companionship and opportunity to talk to someone of a more mature age stayed the same.

Being a senior does not mean our life is over; it is just another stage of our life.

Senior Chatters has allowed me to travel the world and experience different cultures and values via my computer. It has helped me make some wonderful friends who are also there when I need someone to talk to in times of stress, or when I want to share some good news or just want to have a few mad moments.

On Senior Chatters we can be as young or as old as we wish and have a lot of fun at the same time. Just because we are seniors doesn't mean we have to be "old".

Senior Chatters has given me so much and the only way I can repay it is by giving it my loyalty and my love.

It is a site I would recommend to any Senior who is looking for something special and something special is what you will get.

Rob, I so appreciate the site, I have found some genuine caring people on here that care for people as I do. My mum is frail with dementia, people on this share with me their experiences they have with elderly people with some illness or whatever.

It just reminds me I am not alone in what I do, people have came forward so openly telling of their experiences, and that to me sharing our thoughts and woes really is tremendous support.

There is also a lot of friendly banter and a lot of warmth with the people who I have contacted, and you can't beat that at any price!

So to you I send my thanks and I am so glad my internet search found your website, it really opens my eyes and my finding genuine people from all over.

"It Was So Nice To Speak To Someone From My Area"

As I've only visited the site for chat once I really don't have much to say. However, on my first chat session I met some really nice people and actually met someone from my own county, it was so nice to speak to someone from my area, hardly anyone here, where I live, even know where Hampshire is!!

I also had a message from one person who would like to speak with me. On one visit? I couldn't believe it!

I can see that this could get addictive!! My husband already thinks I spend too long sitting at my pc!!

I'll let you know how I get on after a few weeks.
